We have our suspicions, and some of them eventually turn out to be right, that was the case with Google Toolbar. For the past two years we were certain that Google Toolbar gathers data that has some influence on the SERP, some may know it for a fact, but it is only now after Google’s accusation of Bing stealing their result that Amit Singhal said that they use Google Toolbar to gather data which in certain ways has an influence on the SERP.
