My Response to BOQ’s Hard to Read Flash Ad
Sorry BOQ but I can’t read this entire thing in 1.5 seconds in your flash ads so I wrote it down for ‘future reference’.
Here is what it says:
Bank of Queensland Limited ABN 32 009 656 740. *To be eligible for the Home Loan Privileges Package, you must take out with BOQ a Standard Variable Home Loan and Reverse Charges Account or Day2Day Plus Account™. An annual package fee of $375 is payable. Valuation fees are additional. BOQ’s standard credit assessment criteria apply and all applications must meet approval guidelines on all products to qualify for the package. Benefits cannot be taken in conjunction with or in addition to any other packages, negotiated interest rates or special offers. 0.90% discount applies to the Home Loan Privileges Package Standard Variable Rate Home Loan for a limited time only. Switching to another variable or fixed rate product will result in the loss of this discount. ^To be eligible for the $1,000 Cash Back Offer, you must be a personal customer who has been approved between 4th March 2011 and 31st May 2011 and settled by 30th September 2011 for any BOQ home loan over $250,000. Offer limited to one Cash Back Offer per eligible loan. Loans which are not eligible for this Cash Back Offer include a re-finance of, or increase in limit on, an existing BOQ loan. Split loans (e.g. part variable, part fixed) will be considered as one loan and only one Cash Back Offer will apply. This Offer is not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The $1,000 Cash will be credited to your nominated BOQ transaction account within 20 working days from the loan settlement date. Full terms and conditions available at any BOQ branch. Fees and charges are payable. This material has been prepared without taking account of your objectives, financial situation or needs. You should consider the appropriateness of any advice before acting on it. You should obtain and consider the relevant Product Disclosure Statement, terms and conditions and Financial Services Guide before making any decision about whether to acquire or continue to hold these products.
