Google+ Wants Complete Profiles

Google+ has started encouraging users to complete their personal profiles. LinkedIn has been very persistent on profile completeness and have used the percentage bar to motivate users to supply more data. Google+ now uses a similar approach for users who have not yet supplied all the information to their social network.

Here’s how the message looks like:

Like with anything Google+ users are able to choose who they will share this additional information. “Only me” option is also available, which makes me wonder why bother at all if nobody is allowed to access this information?

Once your details are up-to-date Google+ rewards you with a 100% confirmation page.

Feels better, doesn’t it? Maybe. Google+ will surely love the extra data.
