Google Still Gives Penalties for Selling Links, or Have You Forgotten

From time to time we hear about Google penalizing a site for violating their guidelines, and from time to time that is done for one of the most obvious reasons, selling links. As it turns out Google shared a few penalties just a few days ago, to several UK news sites.

In light of this event Google has decided to issue yet another warning against selling links. It seems that there are always those who think they can get away, and I know there are, not to point fingers, but seeing sites that I see on daily basis going out without a penalty shows that sites with higher authority can do pretty much most things that a new website would get penalized for and also some know how to do it better then others an avoid the prying eyes of Google.

The system isn’t perfect, we all know that, but be on your toes and try to stay away from selling or buying links, unless you want to suffer the same fate of some of the sites that got hit on this Google penalty run.

  1. Hi Zac

Awesome, I guess my no-link strategy with (oops there is a link) blog is a good strategy. Also, I have been getting lots of guest-posting requests but I have rejected 99% so far, even though they wanted to send over cash. I don’t want my blog to go down for $50 and I sure don’t want to see crappy links on my site.
BTW I like stopping by here, nice site/blog, keep up the good work Dejan and the crew:)
