Google: Providing Endless Possibilities
Google and other search engines have become a part of everyday life. Long gone are the days where a person would need to learn things from experience or from experimentation. The Internet, Google, Wikipedia, and all of these sources of information have changed the way people learn and have brought it to an unimaginably easy, quick, and accessible level.
Searches can become stories. Some are inspiring, some change the way we see the world and some just put a smile on our face. This is a story of how people can use Google to do something extraordinary. If you have a story, share it. - Ed.
There is no doubt in Google’s proficiency in providing fast and accurate information. However, Google has even more possibilities, possibilities that are beyond any person’s imagination. In this sense, Google has become anything a person might need through its information. In this way, Google can become a therapist, doctor, trainer, teacher, and anything else that you might need. This has brought about a new age of endless learning and consequently endless possibilities.
Google can even answer the call of those less fortunate, such as the disabled. Young High School student Morgan knows this better than anyone else. Her teacher, Cheryl Oakes, taught her how Google can help her learning disability and allow her to do things she never thought possible. Morgan was able to find the information she was looking for, understand what she was reading, and really learn about the topic as a result. For example, Google’s Voice Search tool allowed her to find the proper information simply by using voice recognition on the computer. The Search By Reading Level function also allowed her to easily find the most simply written stories that she would able to understand.
Thanks to Google, Morgan has found her way as a student and no longer fears the prospect of learning on her own. Just like it has done to millions of others, Google has taken Morgan’s potential and brought it a whole new level.
