Big traffic change for top URL

“Big traffic change for top URL” is a new message sent out from Google Webmaster Tools and it can alert webmasters of both positive and negative trends on their top pages.

The message comes in two formats:

• “Search results clicks for http://domain.tld/ have increased significantly. Yay!“
• “Search results clicks for http://domain.tld/ have decreased significantly.”

Note that these messages come with a message ID which can be used to ask for help on Google’s recently re-designed Webmaster Help forum. John Mueller from Google explains, “The message-ID is specific to the message, not the site. We use it so that we can find people having trouble with the messages, even if they post in non-English forums.”
